Quick Knitting Update

Here’s what I’m working on now:

I’m in the home stretch of the Daybreak shawl. A few more stripes and I’ll be ready to start the final section. I’m enjoying knitting with the Wollmeise. It might not be the softest yarn out there, in fact it mostly feels like knitting with cotton. But I think the saturated colorways are totally worth the hype. I think I’m going to have a fair amount of yarn left over, so I’m wondering what to do with it.

The other project is my second mistake rib scarf of the winter – I made one for Andrew that I forgot to take a picture of. I think I’ll be done with this next scarf in the next couple days, and it will be sent off to Doctor K. It was fun trying out Shepherd’s Wool for this project. I’ve heard great things about it from my stitch-n-bitch group. It is a very nice soft wool, so that provides a bit of a textural break from the Wollmeise.
