I saw Lady Snowblood today, it was interesting to see the elements (chapter format, bits of plot, soundtrack) Tarantino borrowed for Kill Bill. I’m really ignorant of Kazuo Koike’s work other than Lone Wolf and Cub, but I did get a kick out of learning that Lady Snowblood was based on a very early manga by him. I really should try to watch at least one of the Lone Wolf and Cub movies soon.
