  Firefly is the only television show I bought on DVD. It was that show that got me into Joss Whedon (I had watched Buffy, but the name Joss Whedon just just a name in the credits; it was only after Firefly that I investigated Joss Whedon.)

  I don’t know how the show is going to translate as a movie. With a series, you can slowly develop the characters (slowly devloping River). It looks like the movie is going to have to fast track some character development and put others on the back burner.

  Also, it looks like Serenity has become “shiny.” Taking advantage of better special effects, Serenity looks new and sparkling instead of dusty and decrepit.

  Also, is it a remake of that episode with Richard Brooks? The trailer looks very similar to that episode. (Undestandably, since that may have been the best. Hard to say which is the best, though.)

  The trailer did look sort of like a remake of that episode! I guess we’ll have to wait and find out though.
