Will blog for comics

Wow, I got my first piece of unsolicited comic book-related marketing e-mail today. It was quite exciting!

Hey, just so everybody knows, I'm willing to sell out for free comics. Let me list the advantages for you:

Due to the recent weirdnesses of google's search results, I can possibly offer you high results on google. I am high on the results list for a phrase search for a Sandman collaborator's manga about death, as well as a search for a series about vespa obsessed mods. And an anime about a pink-haired female prince wannabe.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with Google page rank assigning more authority to my pages when someone's search exactly matches the titles for my blog entries on my sidebar. Since the blog entry title is a link referring to page on my blog would that force me higher up on the Google results list? Would the comment forms and trackback options for the individual entry also appear like a link to google?

So, if you send me your comics, I will review them! Take advantage of this fabulous offer! I do not promise a positive review, especially if you are producing a comic featuring the ex-frontwoman of Hole. But any mention is good, right? I could be your viral marketer!

Hmm, maybe not. If I was #3 for a search for Utena, and 5 minutes later I'm not, what is going on with Google? I'm getting a totally different set of search results now. What on earth is going on with Google? Is it insane? Maybe I'll just start using Vivisimo or something...

Perhaps my scheme to get free comics won't work after all...Curses! Foiled again!

Oyez, Oyez, Oyez, Batter Up!

I was only just getting around to checking around the Oyez site. I wasted some time this afternoon playing Supreme Court Baseball (requires flash). I'm so ignorant of Baseball though, I wasn't very good at it. Now, if it had been "Supreme Court Finnish Hockey Players", "Supreme Court Comic Book Characters", or "Supreme Court NBA Players from Wurtzburg" I might have had a fighting chance.

Trading Spaces and OS personality types

Ty on Kia "I'd rather not even talk about that". And he admits to breaking Vern's furniture on purpose, and considers Hildi a decorating hurricaine, leaving devastation and confusion. That sounds about right, for the woman who sticks wine labels and hay on people's walls.

Which OS are you?

I am Amiga! What????
