Pondering Previews for May

This is what I’m thinking of getting:

DC Comics

Greek Street #1 – My husband Mr. Tangognat likes Peter Milligan, so I’m going to get this first issue for him.

Tokyopop

Maid Sama #2 – Thought the first volume was funny enough, I thought I’d check out the second.
Tsubasa: Those with Wings #2 – The first volume of this series was all over the place, but I have a soft spot for post-apocalyptic stories so I’m going to see if the plot gets more focused as the series develops.

Ôoku: The Inner Chamber #1 – This manga about a female shogun and her male harem is one of my most anticipated titles. Looking forward to Fumi Yoshinaga awesomeness.
Black Bird #1 – This is by the author of Backstage Prince which was a cute two volume series. I’m not quite sure what’s going on in the cover for this series, which appears to show a girl being molested by a boy and some feathers, but I’m curious enough to check this out.

Things I am not going to buy:

Unappealing Yaoi title of the month: Cigarette Kisses – I fail to understand how this can be sexy in any way. Perhaps the sequel will be called “Mouthwash Hugging”

Battle of Genryu Origin #1 – I am probably not going to order this, but I found the cover art amusing because the hero appears to be standing in front of a dragon while eating bento. Also it appears that the male hero of the story only gets his superpowers once a month. That is hilarious.

Mouse Guard: Winter – I think I shall be cheap and wait for the paperback.

Fables Deluxe Edition #1 – This is also a victim to my frugality, but I do find it interesting that they’re reissuing Fables books. I’ve checked a bunch of these out of the library, but I think if I owned more of the GNs I’d reread them a bunch.
