		<description>I found the cooking to be in some ways a &quot;McGuffin&quot; to the father vs son plotline.
What I find more interesting is the explanation of the relationship between food and culture. This gives a great insight into the nature of &quot;Japanese&quot; or even asian culture. 
Things like the nature of the hidden relationship between the cook and the eater.
These are things that are often never noticed by &quot;western&quot; eyes. Even those of us who were raised in an &quot;asian&quot; manner were not &quot;trained&quot; in an explicit manner (as in the way the father berates his son) but via sub conscious examples.</description>
