Prepare yourself: The Wallflower Volumes 1 and 2 by Tomoko Hayakawa (amazon) Recently I’ve started going back and rereading some series that I thought I should give another try. I was able to swap for the first couple volumes of The Wallflower (thank you Mangatude) and I was glad to revisit this reverse harem comedy manga. This issue features [...] There’s an Alternative Press Festival at the City Library on December 5th, so check it out if you are curious about the zine scene. Books This was a brain candy book month. I’ve read Cantarella, Gorgeous Carat, and I keep meaning to read more volumes of Seimaden after sampling the first two. Angel’s Coffin is complete in one volume and while it doesn’t have the intricate [...] On Thanksgiving I am thankful for Transporter 3, which featured: Shirtless Jason Statham punching people. Shirtless Jason Statham waking up with a bomb on his wrist Shirt-fu, an ancient martial art which requires one to fight while ripping off one’s shirt in order to use it to subdue one’s opponents.
