It was Garnet, not Carnelian! I fixed that. Topaz said he saw Amethyst when she was captured the first time by Sardonyx. The interesting part for me was how the creators talk about what went wrong with the book as soon as it became a regular series. It's in Back Issue #24 if you want to pick it up. There's also two pieces on Zatanna and Silverblade that are worth checking out.
