The ‘Spider-Man & Friends’ toys are apparently huge! Enough so that DC is putting out a similar SuperFriends series. I think they’re both knock-offs of the Rescue Heroes toys.
my 4 year old nephew (who insists he is peter parker and was born with special powers) has this. it’s not as well loved as his action figures. and its quite creepy.

If you look at it quickly, it looks like he’s flipping you off…
It looks like he’s throwing gang-signs.
(But, I’ll admit, I played with this while shopping at Target. For several minutes, even. While pushing a cart around the store.)
One of the children in my center brought it to class last Wednesday. The funniest thing about it is when it says “You are SPECTACULAR!” I just about bust a gut when it did that.
And yes, it is a bit creepy.
Personally I thought it was adorable. And my son absolutely loves it. Disturbing certainly isn’t a word I would use for a baby toy. There are much more disturbing things out there than Spiderman.
