Books
Mauve by Simon Winchester – I don’t read non-fiction very much, but I enjoyed this history about the developments of early chemistry, and the effects of the discovery of synthetic dyes.
Midnighters by Scott Westerfeld – This was the selection for my YA book group this month, I enjoyed it. It would be a good book to give to teen fans of superhero comics.
Karavans by Jennifer Roberson – Slow going, this first book of a new series was not as good as I was hoping it would be.
The Murder of Bindy Mackenzie by Jaclyn Moriarty – Pretty hilarious. The ending and mystery aspect of the book were a little forced, but Moriarty is great at telling stories in diary/letter/memo format.
