I’ve done something that I haven’t done since I was 10. I read an Archie comic. Archie #570, specifically. It is out now, and it is easily distinguishable from other comics by the red banner across the top of the cover that proclaims “In this issue Archie visits the world famous Salt Lake City Library!”

In the 5 page story, Mr Lodge flies Archie and the gang to Salt Lake City so they can get some ideas on how to improve their local library. They meet Mimi Cruz of Night Flight Comics and she proceeds to take them on a tour of the library. They marvel at the architecture, meet the library director, and check out the teen room. Jughead is of course thrilled that there is a deli in the library. It is a nice, extremely positive portrayal of the library. It is somewhat surreal to see a place that I’ve visited popping up in a comic like this!
