Head on over to Chicken Spaghetti! I wrote a guest post over there about manga and comics for younger readers. I take a quick look at books from Tokyopop, Graphix, and First Second.

This week’s Flipped column is dedicated to Bleach, one of my favorite shonen manga.

I just got my ALA renewal notice, but I can’t afford to keep my membership this year. It looks like I’ll be picking up a little intermittent part-time work, but it really isn’t enough to justify spending $110 on a membership to a professsional orgainization. Maybe I’ll join some local library organizations instead.
