People are still talking about the removal of Paul Gravett’s Manga: 60 Years of Japanese Comics from the San Bernadino county library system:
Publishers Weekly covers the story
David Welsh comments about the story in his Flipped column
MangaBlog writes about the protests against the removal of the book
It Can’t All Be About Manga rants a little
I’m glad to see that people are protesting the removal of the book. It seems to me like the normal review process for the library was bypassed so someone could indulge in some political posturing. I’ll be interested to see if the library responds to any complaints about the removal of the book, but I’m not holding my breath.
