I was trying to troubleshoot the problem I was having with my feeds in bloglines, and I think I managed to mess up my .htacess file. So if you notice any wackiness going in with the site, that is the cause.
I’m stepping away from the blog now before I mess anything else up.

V for Vendetta
I don’t think I’ve ever had a more mixed reaction to a movie. I feel as if I’ve gone to see a wacky exhibit of installation art where someone made a sculpture of lovely diamonds embedded in a giant pile of rhinocerous excrement. Although I might want to appreciate the lovely diamonds, I’m distracted by [...]
Test post & Wacky feeds
Ever since I upgraded to the latest version of wordpress, my rss and atom feeds have been showing up as invalid in bloglines, although they seem to work just fine in FeedDemon. This is a test post to see if they are working now. If you subscribe to this site with an RSS reader that [...]

Superhero ™, Edge of the Forest 2, comic book fashion
Dave at Yet Another Comics Blog writes about the difference between copyright and trademark in regards to DC and Marvel owning a trademark for the term superhero.

do you have a favorite search?
Do you have any favorite searches that you use when you test out library catalogs or library databases? For whatever reason, whenever I take a look at a library catalog, the first book I search for is Dodie Smith’s I Capture the Castle. So when I finally got a chance to play around with John [...]
shocking manga found at library
Over at Mangablog, a pointer to a story out of Canada about a parent who was shocked that her son checked out Happy Mania from the library. It is a little hard to tell from the story where the manga was shelved. I’d hope that for titles like Happy Mania, there would be an adult [...]
Boston Zinefair
I went to the Boston Zinefair yesterday and picked up many minicomics. I bought minicomics from Kitty, Sordid City Blues, Monadnock History, and Before Sleep.
This was my first time reading a large bunch of minicomics, and I enjoyed all the books I picked up.
I also had to pick up a zine from Jenna Friedman, who [...]
Absolute Boyfriend & Golgo 13
I can’t think of two titles featuring men that are more opposite in character than Absolute Boyfriend and Golgo 13, so of course I’ll review them at the same time.
Absolute Boyfriend by Yuu Watase (amazon)
I’m guaranteed to like any series by Yuu Watase, so I was happy to read the first collection of the [...]
make way for well-accessorized ducklings
The Subway Knitter has photographic evidence of the presents a mystery knitter has left for the famous ducklings in the Public Garden.
