About 2 mos after my divorce I started receiving magazines (Eurotuner, Maxim, Dance, Dirt Bike Rider, Detour, etc), bills for collectibles, & even a wig catalogue. Companies sent copies of order forms to me===none in my handwriting, but looking like someone was IMMITATING my writing. Some orders have even been phoned in to companies. Still wondering who keeps this prank going, and I have a police file on it. I will prosecute if I can. Anyone else???? Who has time to pull pranks like this when they could be spending their lives LIVING instead? Weird!

I mysteriously started receiving Blender a while back. I was terribly afraid of getting charged for the subscription, so I was going to cancel it, but now I find I'm enjoying the magazine.

If it is the marital industrial complex, perhaps they are trying to warn me not to neglect my CD collection while busy selecting china and bedsheets.

Maybe it is the marital industrial complex...a month or so before we got married, my husband started receiving mysterious issues of Maxim in the mail. He didn't subscribe, and his friends didn't subscribe him as a joke, so he was really confused.

When he called to cancel the subscription, he was told that it had already been paid for eight more issues. He told them that he wasn't the person who paid for the subscription, so he didn't care if he got a refund or not, but he didn't want any more issues. It took a while, but they finally stopped sending them.

I think it's a message. Ladies, you'd better start being concerned with preserving your youth, because Hubby doesn't like wrinkles. Gentlemen, your sex life is over, so here's some photos of Denise Richards in a skimpy bikini. Heh.

My name's on the label. I guess I'm a little too quick to assume that a horrible conspiracy is at work. Now that I think about it, I used to have a subscription to Budget Living which has been shut down. I don't remember getting anything in the mail though. I just went to the LHJ web site and unsubscribed, it is too bad they didn't automatically send me a magazine I would have read like Wired.

It could be that some other magazine you subscribe to, which is published by the same company as LHJ, has ceased publishing, and they are fulfilling the rest of the subscription with LHJ. They probably sent you a notice that looked like junk mail, so you tossed it. I was really puzzled when we started getting Prevention magazine, but that turned out to be the reason.

Also, we get notices periodically that our frequent flyer miles are expiring and we can use them to get magazine subscriptions. Again, if you don't read the notice, they may just send you LHJ by default.

Or it could be addressed to someone else and coming to you by mistake. I assume you've checked the label?
