decorative switch plates

in: random

Inspired by a comment on my previous post, I decided to see where exactly one would go to find decorative switch plates. I thought that the laundry-themed one in my future home would be a unique example, but did you know that there are actually many different laundry switch plates out there to choose from?

Check it out here are three styles here are some more (I like the way the web page on the site for laundry and sewing switch plates is called “women”).

There are library switch plates.

This page lets you select switch plates with the related themes of Elvis, Lighthouses, and Southwest Missions.

You can also decorate your home with Wonder Woman, Superman, or Spiderman

I’m slightly stunned and disturbed that there are so many varied switch plate options out there.

Egad, what busy little beavers we have out there. I marvel at the ingenuity, but am totally gacked out by most of the designs. There is such a thing as overdecorating.

These plates aren’t so bad, however. These aren’t so bad either. But these should be beaten into plowshares. Ick.

I do like the ceramic and slate switchplates, those aren’t too over the top.

You know what I love…drawer and cabinet pulls. There’s a fancy-ass hardware store that contractors use near my house, and they have bins and bins and bins of knobs and pulls, fruit and twig-shaped, ceramic, metal, wood. I just bought some nice switch and outlet plates from Target. Nothing fabulous, just a nice touch since I may have to sell my house if I get a job I’ve applied for. I’m not leaving strawberry cabinet pulls for anyone, though….

I’ve always loved those fancy cabinet pulls too, I’ve just never had an excuse to buy them before. I’ll have to look into them as a finishing touch.
