So I’ve been having fun visiting with my little sister - we ran around, saw two movies (Mirrormask and Wallace and Gromit), went shoe shopping, and I think I found some possible wedding shoes. Now I don’t have to worry about not having shoes when I get married in around seven months. I am nothing if not prepared!

The more you do in advance, the happier you’ll be on the day. Trust me on this one.
Be sure to break them in indoors before the big day. And bring a backup comfy pair for after the ceremony just in case. After all the preparation and obsession about the details, by the time I got to the reception, I was too wired to care what my shoes looked like (or even my dress)! Luckily we had a very small wedding, so I didn’t have to get up and schmooze too much.
I got a lot done 6 months before the wedding and I wasn’t at all stressed for the few days before it. When I hear about people making wedding favors until the wee hours on the morning of their wedding day, I think they’re missing out on just feeling and experiencing this once-in-a-lifetime event. Don’t be afraid to delegate! You should enjoy all this.
Well, I am trying to do as much in advance as possible, and I am delagating like crazy, since my mom is handling most of the details.
I need to think about things like programs and place cards and favors though.
The shoes themselves aren’t too elaborate, because they’ll be hidden by my dress (I think) and I’ll be walking across grass and gravel in a garden, so I can’t be too fancy with the footwear
Those are the cutest “wedding shoes” ever! I love John Fluevogs! Very smart not to go the 3-inch heel route.
I love Fluevogs too! I spend most of the winter stomping around in Fluevog boots, so I was happy to find some dressier shoes that I could wear for the wedding.
