I’m going to start adding little ratings stars to the posts about what I’ve been reading. I’ve been toying with the idea for some time, so I made some tiny icons using fireworks and the asterisk in the comic sans font. I was thinking about installing a ratings plugin for WordPress, but one that I found looked like it hadn’t been updated for the newest release of WordPress. The other plugin I considered was the Structured Blogging plugin from PubSub. It looks to me like it isn’t in active development anymore, just because the only posts on the project were from last spring. Update: it looks like it is in active development after all. I opted for a lower tech solution for now.

you also might want to look in to hReview. with a little XHTML markup you can ad more context to your reviews. There is also a plugin for wordpress to list your reviews in the sidebar.

oh, and I just found another wordpress plugin that let you do more stuff with Structured Blogging

The Structured Blogging plug-in is, in fact, still very much in active development. We’ll be making a major announcement concerning Structured Blogging at the Web 2.0 conference on Oct 5.

I use Structured Blogging on my infrequently updated media blog and I like it a lot.
