muzzy head

I’m in that zone of preparation for the upcoming semester where I’m juggling a ton of projects that need to get finished before the start of classes, and I’m having a hard time remembering all the tiny details. Today I had a departmental meeting, went to an orientation session, and did a library tour, then I worked on some of the managerial aspects of some of the web development projects that need to be up by the first day of school, and I tried to make two fliers promoting some library stuff for the academic department I work with.

And even though I’ve been working on things all along this summer, I don’t think there is any way to make the week before classes start NOT feel crazy. Oh well! I know things will be ready enough. I’m sure some web pages will need some tweaking here and there but it isn’t the end of the world. Whenever I feel like I’m starting to feel stressed about work I remind myself that it is just library work, not neurosurgery. Nothing horrible will happen if a web page isn’t perfect by September 6th.

So things are a little nutty right now, everything will calm down after the first day of school, and then I’ll be teaching a ton in October and November.
