Read or Die manga translated?!

in: manga

I hope this is true, it looks like the manga of Read or Die might be translated. Read or Die (at least the anime version) features a bibliophile named Yomiko Readman, who works as a secret agent for the British Library and has the power to turn paper into almost any object. The manga isn’t a close adaptation of the anime. I think the first volume of the manga is a story about Yomiko and Nenene (who appears in the broadcast TV version of the series).

    Oooh, fingers crossed!

Read or Die sounded like a series I’d like but I never get around to watching DVDs nowadays, so I’m much more likely to expereince the series as manga.

Oooh, excellent! I’ve seen the OVA of Read or Die, which I understand is quite different from both the manga and the broadcast anime. Definitely one I’d pick up.

Lyle, try to watch the 3 episode OVA DVD sometime if you can. I think they’ve aired it on Cartoon Network in the past.

As far as I can tell the Read or Die series (anime and manga) all differ with either the characters that are focused on or the timeline. So even though Yomiko is in the Read or Die manga, it shows a different time in her life than what is detailed in the OVA or broadcast anime.
