Will of the Empress by Tamora Pierce (amazon)
I seem to be on a big YA fantasy book kick this month. I guess it fits the bill for light summer reading. Will of the Empress revisits the characters from the Winding Circle series. I read the first four books, but I didn’t read the second series. [...]

I got Harry Potter 6 delivered today! I was surprised because I ordered it with the free shipping, so I was expecting it to show up sometime next week. It was funny because there were two deliveries of Potter books to my building, so I ran into my downstairs neighbor when I went to meet [...]

Inkspell

The advance copy that I was most excited to nab at ALA was Cornelia Funke’s Inkspell (amazon). In Inkheart Funke introduced the father and daughter team of Mo and Meggie, and the strange characters that come to life when Mo reads aloud from a book called Inkheart. In Inkspell, the characters that remain in Meggie’s [...]

What I’m thinking of getting:
Manga
Tokyo Boys and Girls #2 - I’ve heard this isn’t as good as Hot Gimmick, I haven’t read the first volume yet, but I’m still going to get this.
Basara #14 - One of my favorite long running manga series
Death Note #1 - My impression is that this series about a [...]
