Perhaps I'm just way too shallow, but Orlando Bloom's pensive stares did seem to acquire a tiny smidgen more weight near the end of the movie, after they scarred up his pretty face some. But yeah, Tiberius, Saladin, even the leprous king had more charisma. If in some alternative universe Ridley Scott made a version of the movie featuring one of those three instead of Balian, I'd be totally into that. I mostly agree.
