Lady Snowblood manga being released by Dark Horse. Coolness. Now you can read the manga that inspired the movie that Tarantino ripped off for Kill Bill.

hey, I just picked this up today and am thoroughly digging it! Amazing to think that it was published in ‘71. Those Japanese–way ahead of us.

Glad to know it is good. I haven’t picked it up yet, but I’ll try to get to it sometime!

Tarantino used Lady Snowblood to inspire his movie Kill Bill not as a rip off. If you notice in the second Kill Bill movie Uma and her daughter are watching Lone Wolf and Cub, which is the manga Kazuo Koike is most famous for. Tarantino is honoring his amazing work not ripping it off. After all imitation is the best form of flattery.
