Wow. This is now one of my favorite films. One thing that I love about martial arts movies is all the moments of “Oh my god!!! How did he do that?!!!” that you get when watching someone truly exceptional do amazing things with their body. Tony Jaa is awesome. I had the same type of feeling watching Ong Bak as I did when I saw Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan for the first time. It is seriously worth the price of admission just to watch him jump over, around, and between random stuff for a few minutes, to say nothing of what happens when he actually starts kicking and punching. I’m going to see it again soon.
