I came back from Thanksgiving vacation late last night, actually very early this morning. I had to wait to get a cab at the airport for around an hour, so I made it back to my apartment around 1:30am. I did have a fairly refreshing vacation:

• Not being near a library for a few days was good.
• It is nice to know that none of my relatives are overly dignified. Despite the fact that most of my cousins are well into their 20s, that did not stop us from constructing a 10 person human pyramid in my Mom’s living room, with much documentary photography from the elder relatives.
• We went to the cemetary for my Grandma’s unveiling (she died a year ago) and everyone got some mementos from the giant warehouse of family belongings that is housed in my Mom’s basement. I think my Grandma would have liked seeing all her female grandchildren running around with her brooches pinned to their coats.
• Going out on errands can sometimes be very beneficial, as I discovered that Sam’s Club has Buffy dvds for sale for a little over $30, and thus got an early Hanukkah present (thanks Mom!)
• For Thanksgiving we had 2 turkeys and 4 pies. The pies, cherry and pumpkin, were made by my sister and they all had booze in them!
