This is what I pre-ordered from discount comic book service. I must say that I wish their search feature worked better for non Marvel/DC/Image/etc publishers. I’d like to be able to see what Tokyopop and Viz have coming out, but I guess the best way to figure out what you want is to go through the Previews pages for other comics.
One thing that I already own but would totally be ordering if I didn’t have it is the Bone One Volume edition for under $20. That is over 1300 pages of black and white comic goodness. I’m up to Book 7: Treasue Hunters.
Some of the things that I was most excited about buying:
LOVE FIGHTS TP VOL 2 is 50% off!
There’s a bunch of manga priced at around $6.50 or $5.00, instead of $9.95 or $10.00 retail.
KARE KANO GN VOL 13
PRINCE OF TENNIS GN VOL 5
IMADOKI GN VOL 4
QUEENS KNIGHT GN VOL 2
I was happy to snag SAME DIFFERENCE & OTHER STORIES
Some things that were secondary purchases — stuff that I’m not super psyched about but would probably have picked up in the comic store and am still glad to buy for around $6.00 each:
DESCENDANTS OF DARKNESS GN VOL 3
W JULIET GN VOL 2
FROM FAR AWAY GN #2
And my only non graphic novel/manga purchase was
ASTONISHING X-MEN #8
Hooray for pre-ordering discounted comic books, I say!

Same Difference and Other Stories was a freakin’ delight - I was so surprised I was engaged as I was by it. Love Fights goes beyond being recommended by me - I think it’s essential to anyone who wants to see what you can do with that particular genre, the Superhero Romance With Cats That Do Stuff That Cats Shouldn’t Do. Andi Watson’s a favorite.

I’m really looking forward to the 2nd volume of Love Fights, and I’ve seen enough of Same Difference online that I knew I’d end up buying it. I love Andi Watson, but I haven’t read everything that he’s done yet — that’s nice in a way because I have something to look foreward to!
