I love getting packages in the mail. Even better is getting TWO packages in the mail. The collected edition of Bone arrived today. I’d read a few single issues of Bone midway through the series, but then I concluded that it was just better to read it in trade paperback form and I had way too much backstory to get caught with. So now I can read the whole thing! This is the first Lieber’s Eleven inspired comics purchase for me. I’m not sure if I’ll get caught up with Tegan, she tore through the collected editions of Bone at a very quick pace.
My other package was a Japanese knitting magazine and some Japanese knitting books, I’ll post about them more on my knitting blog, but there are some very cute designs that I will try to knit if I can translate the patterns/knitting charts. It will be a good excuse to learn some new Japanese vocabulary!
I tore through what the library had at record pace. Unfortunately, they don’t have the last volume, so I haven’t been able to read the end of the story, yet.
Bone is great…i’m borrowing the phonebook collected works now from a friend. Have you read Smith’s prequel Rose?
Yes, I really liked Rose even though at the time I read it I was aware it was a prequel to a story I hadn’t read yet. I think I’m up to Book 2 of Bone now.
