I did not realize before today that the Loews theater at Boston Common had been overrun by Satan’s army. I know better now. There I was getting amped up on diet coke and jordan almonds when I realized that the movie was supposed to start 15 minutes ago. A few people started going out of the theater to complain, and 5 mintues later the movie started somewhere in the middle. I saw around 5 minutes involving Zach Braff at a restaurant and then a funeral, and then a mass exodus of people started as word went around that the movie people, clearly in thrall to Lucifer, were not going to back up and start the movie again from the beginning at all.
I then stood in line waiting to talk to one of the scions of Beelzebub. I got my money back and a free movie pass. But it didn’t really change my opinion that the Boston Common Loews is a netherworld of agony and torment. Oh well, I’ll use my free admission to see Hero next weekend and then see Garden State later.
I did go shopping, wandered around Filenes (it was Clinique Bonus time :)), bought some shoes, other things, and some manga (Hot Gimmick 1 and Planetes 3) so the day wasn’t a total loss. I still feel thwarted because I was really looking forward to that movie.

I’ve heard good things about the film. I’m sorry you didn’t get to see it all. What the hell happened that they couldn’t start it from the beginning?!

I’m guessing that so much time had passed, if they showed the movie from the begining, they would have to delay the start of the next showing time. I’ll try to see it next weekend!!!
