I went to lunch with my visiting librarian friend and we ended up in a used bookstore, of course. I knew I would be able to find something cool when I stepped in the door and heard Johnny Cash playing over the store sound system. I found a copy of Jack Cole and Plastic Man supercheap!

I always got a kick out of superhero comics with a sense of humor. In addition to Plastic Man, I used to love reading old E-man comics. E-man was born from a star, traveled to earth and met his girlfriend Nova Kane, and had a koala bear sidekick who loved cornflakes and seemed to be stalking Amy Irving.
