I have a friend visiting me for a couple weeks, so we went for a little trip this weekend to the Museum of Bad Art, or the MOBA. Museum is perhaps too grandiose a term for a room filled with salvaged paintings in the basement of the Dedham Community Theater. I’m going to try to post a picture of the impressive entrance to the MOBA, here you go!

And that was just the beginning! There was an exhibit of nature themed paintings, with annotations speculating about the artists’ state of mind. You can get a sense of the wonders of MOBA from their online galleries, the Lawlor Gallery, Frances Jackson Gallery, and the Deardorf Gallery. I enjoyed the MOBA, but I also got a kick out of visiting the plastic replica Mount Rushmore at Wall Drug.
